C3.AI Unveils New Generative AI Suite for Enterprise
AI company C3.AI made an interesting announcement earlier this week during its quarterly earnings call. The company introduced a brand-new C3 Generative AI Suite that will help businesses and enterprises across a wide range of industries. The suite will come with 28 new domain-specific generative AI services.
C3 has been in use by some early users and so far the results have been favourable according to C3.AI. Some of the early adopters include Georgia-Pacific, The US Missile Defense Agency, and an unnamed US Intelligence Agency.
According to the release, C3 will be able to provide its large language model to businesses without concerns over data privacy breaches, hallucinations, and IP liability exposure. Some of the solutions include C3 Generative AI for Aerospace, Defense, Healthcare, Finance, Human Resources, and Sales. C3 is also able to integrate directly with many software platforms including Databricks, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Palantir, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Snowflake, and Workday.
All of the new C3 Generative AI suites are available at the AWS Marketplace, GCP Marketplace, and Azure Marketplace. The cost is $250,000 plus vCPU/vGPU hourly fees.

OpenAI Is Set to Host its First-Ever Developer Conference on November 6th
On Wednesday, OpenAI made the announcement that it will be hosting the one-day event on November 6th in San Francisco. It is anticipated that the event will attract hundreds of generative AI developers from around the world to preview and discuss new OpenAI tools.
The OpenAI DevDay is expected to be mostly in-person, although several components including the keynote speech will be streamed online. No details were released by OpenAI, although CEO Sam Altman did mention that: "We're looking forward to showing our latest work to enable developers to build new things".
Many online are already speculating that OpenAI will have an update on GPT-5, the latest iteration of its large language model. While OpenAI has been quiet about the progress of training GPT-5, the timing lines up with previous comments from the company about the model being fully trained by the end of this year.
It's also possible that OpenAI will finally shed some light on its recent acquisition of Global Illumination. OpenAI acquired the AI design studio in August but hasn't released any details of the integration between the two firms.
While DevDay certainly allows for a collaborative process with developers, it also allows OpenAI to market its latest products. With competition in the AI industry rising, OpenAI needs to secure as many customers as it can while it still holds the lead over its peers.
Registration for DevDay is expected to open in the next few weeks and will be capped at what OpenAI describes as a "few hundred developers".

Anthropic Releases Premium Paid Version of Claude AI
The San Francisco-based Anthropic is one of the leading competitors of OpenAI and its ChatGPT model. The introduction of Claude Pro allows Anthropic to charge its premium users of the AI chatbot. Monthly subscriptions for Claude Pro will begin at $20.00 per month which is the same price as ChatGPT Plus.
So far, the release of Claude Pro is limited to the US and the UK, but further expansion is expected in the near future. Claude AI was first launched in March with a subsequent launch of Claude 2 in July.
From the onset, Claude was advertised as a large language model that was easier to converse with than ChatGPT. It also has the ability to provide less harmful outputs, something that has been a hot topic in the AI industry.
What is the difference between Claude AI and Claude Pro? The main difference is the frequency with which you can ask Claude questions. With Claude Pro, users will receive five times the number of questions as the free version. Currently, Anthropic states that the typical Claude user gets about 100 inputs every eight hours.
