Microsoft's VASA-1 can deepfake anyone with a single image & audio clip

  • Microsoft Research introduced the VASA framework, which generates hyper-realistic talking face videos from a single photo and audio speech.
  • Given its potential for misuse, the team has no plans to release a product, demo or API for the framework...at least for now.

AI Squared - Raised a $13.8M Series A Round

  • What they do: AI Squared is a developer of an AI integration platform that helps organizations deliver data and AI insights into business applications. The company's platform increases companies' ROI in AI projects by making it easier to integrate and adopt AI-powered insights into the tools and apps they use.
  • Location: Washington, DC
